First retreat. Bee Restored

The Guinea Pigs

Trial retreat and it went GREAT!!!

August 12-14th of 2022 I managed to pull of something I am very proud of. My first women’s mental health retreat. I didn’t do this alone. A group of ladies that are in my life and helped me through my mental health journey pitched in. The encouragement these ladies gave me was amazing.

There were six of us on this first time outing. I have never done anything like this. I wanted the first retreat to be a learning experience. It was!!! These ladies who joined me were friends and friends of friends.

I rented an airbnb in Tellico Plains, TN. This cabin was perfect. Creekside meditation in the morning. There were lots of questions about getting to know each other in hopes to learn more about ourselves. I know Its real hard to list 5 things about myself that i like. Doing these types of activities gave each of us a chance to give ourselves positive self talk. When I had a hard time, it was great that I had ladies around me to throw all these great things they about me to encourage me.

Lots of free time and a nice short hike around the lake at Indian Boundary camp ground. Evening fire by the creek.

My goal for these retreats is to make them affordable for anyone who wants to participate. This retreat was paid in full by my shirts that I sell. In theory, all retreats that we do will be low cost in not covered. Time will tell.

I have no degree or schooling for this. I want to help and encourage women to talk about their struggles and how they are coping. What tools have you learned through your journey. These retreats are meant to be a safe space.
